About Sutton Striders

Sutton Striders is a friendly, inclusive running club based in the London Borough of Sutton. We welcome runners of all abilities – from complete beginners to seasoned racers – who share a commitment to improving their running.

Our club is built on a simple principle: if you want to get better as a runner, you belong here. We have no requirements for speed or fitness, just a desire to train with purpose and support each other along the way.

What We Offer

We run multiple training sessions per week across our three main locations: Nonsuch Park, Overton Park, and Beddington Park. Our sessions range from structured interval training to social runs, giving you options whatever your goals or schedule.

We compete regularly in the Surrey Cross-Country and Road Running Leagues, giving members the opportunity to race if they want to test themselves. But racing is never a requirement – many of our members simply enjoy the training and community.

Our Community

Since 2020, we've grown into a vibrant community of just over 100 members. We're excited about the current running boom and see it as an opportunity to welcome even more diverse runners into our club.

Whether you're chasing a personal best, training for your first 5K, working towards a marathon, or just looking for a supportive group to improve with, Sutton Striders has a place for you.

We train hard, we support each other, and we have a good time doing it.

Sutton Striders is an England Athletics affiliated club (#7693648).

Club Ethos

As we continue to develop as a club we want to stay true to our ethos of inclusive performance.

We have no requirements for speed or fitness, only that you want to improve.

If that appeals to you then please join us for a run!
