Monday Social Run

6:30pm Sutton Station

Sutton Striders standing outside Sutton Station

A chatty social run for all abilities with a "no drop" policy. Approximately 4 miles/ 6.5km distance. There are usually different pace groups and run/walk options.

Wednesday Social Run

7:00pm Cheam Cross Roads

We meet outside Caffe Nero at the Cheam Village Crossroads for a chatty social run with a "no drop" policy. Approximately 4 miles/ 6.5km distance around Cheam and Belmont.

Saturday Parkrun

9:00am UK Wide

On Saturdays you'll usually find a group of Striders at our local parkruns - Nonsuch, Banstead Woods and Roundshaw Downs. We enjoy parkrun tourism so don't be surprised to see some of us pop up elsewhere in the UK or abroad!

Tuesday Morning Intervals

We train around the 800m loop to the east side of the park with a set of run/recover intervals. The session is time based so you can run at your own pace.

Thursday Morning Tempo

Usually a steady tempo effort run or alternating fast/slow running around the 800m east side loop of the park. The session is time based so you can run at your own pace.

Sunday Long Run

Our members often arrange informal Sunday Long Runs from various starting points around Sutton. These will be planned in our WhatsApp group but range around 6-10 miles / 10-16km, or sometimes further for those training for Marathons.

Tuesday Evening Intervals

We meet outside Westcroft Leisure Centre before a short jog to nearby Beddington Park. We train with a set of run/recover intervals. The session is time based so you can run at your own pace.

We meet outside Westcroft Leisure Centre before a short jog to nearby Beddington Park. You can choose a tempo or social run looping through the park. This session is usually 30-40 minutes.

All Year Long

Throughout the year we compete in various races, including relays, 10kms, halfs and marathons. If you're a first claim member you can represent the club in both the Surrey Road League and Surrey League Cross Country.
